In 2006, renowned French fashion editor Tamara Taichman wanted a unique bag to see her through fashion weeks in Paris, New York and Milan: it had to be chic, elegant and practical. Tamara sketched the design and asked her husband, Nicolas Berdugo, then Marketing Director at a prestigious leather goods brand, to make her a prototype according to these specifications. The Zelig tote was born, a bag recognizable by its paper-clip-shaped closure and its Parisian-chic style.

Following the huge success that the Zelig bag met - being picked up by high-end retailers, as well as trendsetters and celebrities (Sienna Miller, Scarlett Johansson, Kirsten Dunst, Cameron Diaz, Sarah Jessica Parker to name a few) - Tamara and Nicolas launched the brand under the name Tila March: ‘TILA’ as a cross between their first names, and ‘March’, the month in which they met. 

Tamara now creates numerous different lines under the brand, as well as a varied collection of shoes, all of which are notable for their meticulously selected materials and color ways, and the precision and subtlety of the detailing, giving Tila March its unique, stylish and timeless quality.
